ABOUT

Jackie Wilson is the sole proprietor of JW Therapy as well as the owner of Next Level Injury Management, a personalized sports medicine clinic providing Athletic Therapy, Muscle Activation Techniques®, and wellness services such as Massage Therapy and Kinesiology since 2020.

Hi! I am a Certified Athletic

Therapist and a Muscle Activation Techniques® Specialist servicing Thunder Bay. This separates me from everyone else as I am the only practitioner with this unique skillset working in Northern Ontario.

For me, I'm like you. I struggled with my own injuries. I experienced muscle tension and chronic pain in my shoulder after a traumatic accident. I heard about a technique that really grabbed my attention. It was not mainstream, it was Muscle Activation Techniques® (MAT®). After my first treatment, each muscle, one by one, I felt as if they had come back to life, stronger and more purposeful, like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. I was pain free for 3 months. I was blown away and thought, why isn’t every practitioner doing this?

Taping & Corrective Exercises

In order to help clients move and feel better, corrective exercises are techniques used to address and fix movement compensations and imbalances. Specifically to your treatment plan, these exercises help reinforce the re-education of muscular efficiency and strength. Taping is used to help decrease pain and increase movement by supporting muscles, tendons and ligaments that cross a joint.
